BAC offers students an iPad for use at school to help facilitate learning and communication. iPads are tailored to the student, to their specific needs and to their individualized goals. iPads offer portability and flexibly around the school that a traditional PC or laptop cannot provide. The touchscreen is often more accessible for students who have fine motor difficulties. In some cases, iPads are used as communication devices for nonverbal or minimally verbal students. In those cases, students may be permitted to take the iPad home.
Other forms of technology are used throughout the school day to supplement and enrich every student’s program, including interactive SmartBoard lessons, educational software, and online reading, writing and math programs.
