As a non–profit organization, The Brooklyn Autism Center relies on the generosity of others to help fund our programs. We set ambitious goals for our children, developing individualized programs and adapting our therapies to each child's needs. With the help from our community of donors, we can utilize cutting-edge technology and provide extracurricular activities such as horseback riding, yoga, art, and music to enhance our students’ education. We also offer a popular peer socialization after-school program. Our children are not only learning life skills; they’re learning about the joys of life. We see it as our obligation to support the children with autism in our community - one child at a time.
BAC is a registered 501c3 and contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please help us to continue to improve the quality of life for children with autism. Each gift is a contributing force behind every success at BAC: every smile, every first word, and every special moment!
The Brooklyn Autism Center welcomes sponsors, individual donations, and in-kind donors to support its events. The following are some of the opportunities available:
Stand-Ups Give BAC! (February)
BAC's signature event attracts supporters from throughout the New York Metropolitan area. This feel-good event features some of the most talented comics in America and has everyone laughing for hours – a perfect antidote to February weather in NYC! The event itself takes place at the legendary Carolines Comedy Club in Times Square.Last year's headliner was comedian Michelle Wolf! This year marks the 11th year of our comedy show.
Since 2008, Stand-Ups Give BAC has raised close to $1 million, giving children with autism the opportunities they deserve to learn, contribute and live the fullest lives possible. We hope you'll join us at this year's show! Stay tuned - tickets will go on sale in early December.
You never know who might show up so don't miss out!
Autism Awareness Month (April)
The students, families, and staff of BAC come together to celebrate Autism Awareness Month. We put together 'Spirit Week' activities where our students participate in different fun team activities each day, culminating with a Family Field Day in a nearby Brooklyn Heights park. We invite all our family members, friends, and community supporters to join us. Additionally, we partner with local business to promote overall Autism Awareness. Donations will be applied toward the purchase of technology, art supplies, and items for our extracurricular activities.
2020 Generosity Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk (May)
Generosity BROOKLYN is a multi-charity 5K Run/Walk that will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. BAC is one of the premier charities of this fun community event! Please make a donation (or join us at the race!) in honor of one of our families or BAC staff.
